Date: June 16th-17th, 2007
Time: 10:10pm to 12:49am
Location: Gaines Point, Green Lake Park, Seattle.

The investigation began at approx. 10:10pm with the arrival of Investigators Gennifer and Ryan. After a brief time spent setting up, we immediately detected a roving cold spot behind the eastern-most park bench. The ambient temp of the area was averaging 65 degrees Fahrenheit, and the spot itself measured between 42 and 45F, taking up an area roughly 13-15" wide, by 4' high. This phenomenon was constant, and seemed to move in an arcing path, circling around the investigators. This continued steadily until 10:30pm, when we left the area to meet up with [investigator] on the north path, further from the water.

[investigator] joined us shortly thereafter, and observed the cold spot. [investigator] passed the trifield meter to me, and I began to measure EMF in the area. The initial readings averaged 1.5 and 4.0, dropping to 0 after a few minutes. I began to sweep the area and picked up the high reading again near a outcropping of rocks on the west side of Gaines Point. Readings in this area hovered between 2.5 and 5.5. I looked for a natural source for this, but being right next to a lake and several yards from the nearest electrical source, I could not locate one. I moved the trifield around, and noted the dimensions of the EMF concentration seemed to be roughly the same size as the cold spot. When I lowered the trifield to the ground, however, I noted the needle would go to 0 approx 10" from the ground, so it appears the anomaly was not touching the ground. This also eliminated the possibility of buried electrical lines.

I told the other investigators present what I was getting, and they joined me in that spot and observed the readings as well.

It was at this point [investigator] asked aloud "Miss Gaines, are you here?" immediately after this question, the meter on the trifield jumped from 2.5 to 3.5. [investigator] asked again "Miss Gaines? Miss Sylvia Gaines?" after which the reading jumped from 2.5 to 9.0. We proceeded to ask yes or no questions and noted the reading seemed to drop when we asked control questions, and spiked to upwards of 25-30 on more direct questions. After about 45 minutes of this, the readings gradually decreased, bottoming out to zero with no fluctuations.

We had some others joining us, and we decided to take advantage of the lull to go meet them in the parking lot and lead them where we were investigating. The parking lot what quite a ways away, so we spent about 30 minutes walking there and back. The only noteworthy thing that occurred there was the sound of heavy footsteps, that was later determined to be the sound of the water smacking the retaining wall. It was here that we EVP #12 was recorded.

After meeting up with James and his party, we returned to Gaines Point and took measurements, photographs, and more audio. Gen had taken the trifield at this point, and was able to capture several high/responsive readings like those encountered earlier.

The investigation ended at 12:49am.
